Full Project Summary

The Long House is a carefully designed forever home located within a closely regulated Conservation Area. Achieving approval for all 19 planning conditions required a considered and collaborative approach, ensuring the final design honoured both the architectural context and the homeowner’s vision.

Seven Neo Rooflights were installed within the zinc-lined pitched roof, bringing abundant daylight throughout the main living spaces. Their sleek, contemporary appearance and edge-to-edge glazing allowed for a clean, uninterrupted flow of natural light while maintaining a refined architectural profile.

To complement these, three Conservation Plateau Rooflights were incorporated into the flat roof garden room. These heritage-sensitive rooflights preserve traditional character while delivering excellent daylight and ventilation performance, ensuring the interior spaces remain warm, bright and comfortable throughout the year.

Together, the rooflights create a calm, light-filled home that balances modern living with sensitive Conservation Area requirements, resulting in a timeless and inviting residential space.
