Double Red Duke

Nestled in the Oxfordshire countryside, this striking 16th-century coaching inn was packed full of character and original features. A sensitive renovation and refurbishment sought to retain the character whilst bringing the building up to date, improving thermal efficiency and creating a warm, snug and cosy atmosphere.

The old, pitched roof windows were replaced with our original Conservation Rooflights. Sitting flush to the roofline with fine detailing and authentic features, such as glazing clips and exposed hinges, the rooflights complement the architecture and charm of the property whilst bringing an abundance of natural light.

Awarded ‘Best Newcomer’ in the Food and Travel Awards 2021, the Double Red Duke is one of Oxfordshire’s most iconic inns and listed by The Telegraph as one of the best restaurants outside of London.
