Shooters Hill

SASA Works extended and remodelled this Edwardian Home in South London to create a new kitchen and living room around the courtyard garden. A deliberate play to embed the house’s original feature into the new space has resulted in a harmonious union between the different spaces: traditional and modern, indoor and outdoor, cooking and living.

Natural light was important in creating this unique relaxation area that includes bespoke built-in furniture to maximise the space. In designing the rooflights, size was of particular importance to ensure they fit within the structural rafters that created the geometric roof shape. We provided a mix of bespoke and standard rooflights in our contemporary Neo® style. This included a bespoke square rooflight design and a bespoke trapezoidal rooflight. Along with detailed technical drawings, we also supported the unique installation detailing into the roof – constructed of plywood with a rubber lining to finish.
